I’m sorry for posting this, it’s just I always see pictures on here of girls with flowers drawn around their cuts or pictures of blood in the shape of hearts or people rebloging pictures of scars and saying “I don’t support self harm but for some reason this looks really beautiful” and it really fucking annoys me

self harm is a real problem faced by real people, you may not be meaning to but posts like those mentioned glamorise it and trivialise it and its just not right.

i think its tragically beautiful..not the actual cuts the meaning behind them..the way someone can be so said or blame themselves so much they slice their skin, it shows how sad someone can really be. To me these pictures show how serious self harm is…i find that tragically beautiful.

excuse me but could you please explain what part of being so sad you want to physically hurt yourself is beautiful?

if you have ever self harmed then you wouldn’t feel that way about your scars. When I did self harm, I’d look at my scars and not feel any sort of “beauty” at all. Looking at my scars I felt even more sad because I had no other way to cope than to cut myself. Please stop glamorizing it because people then get the wrong impression of it.

if you think it’s beautiful instead of absolutely wrong and horrid and a addictive evil problem then fuck you i don’t want to be ‘tragically beautiful’ i want to be normal and free
